About Coach

Outside of the CrossFit space, I’m also a fish biologist, which takes me to some of the most remote areas of the state—so if you ever need a hiking recommendation, I’m your guy. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, working on my 1974 Volkswagen bus (mostly an excuse to buy more tools), snowboarding, basking in the warmth of a campfire, and long, romantic walks on the beach. I’m also a sucker for sweets.

My Why

I became a coach because of the profound impact CrossFit has had on my life and the pivotal role that great coaches have played in my journey. I started coaching with the goal of helping others achieve what they never thought possible and building their confidence in themselves and their abilities. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with individuals of all skill levels and continue to explore various aspects of movement and fitness to better support you in your fitness journey.

Fun Facts

My fastest mile is 4:44, and my best 5K time is 16:38.

I can do a strict pull-up with 100 pounds of added weight and 10 unbroken muscle-ups.

My favorite achievements are a 180-pound snatch and a 225-pound clean and jerk.

I’d probably follow a shady stranger into a dark alley if they even hinted at a margarita waiting for me.

Beyond the walls of a CrossFit gym, I’ve also coached CrossFit at the Coconino County Juvenile Detention Center.
