I don’t like crowds or attention on me, which is ironic considering I coach. I intentionally will put myself in uncomfortable situations to force myself to grow as a person, and then hibernate for 2 weeks to regain my energy. I have a lot of interests and hobbies, but none of which will come to fruition if I don’t set a goal to reach. Overall, I confuse a lot of people with my personality, but I also confuse myself, so same, but I always strive to be a good person and treat others well.
I originally got my L1 to better help me with Sports Massage when I was new to CrossFit with no intention of getting back into training. Taking my L2 was quite the game changer for me in my approach to coaching, and being surrounded by coaches who are also trying to be better themselves has helped a lot. Even as a coach, I continue to be a student because I truly believe you need to be willing to learn from everyone no matter their position in life.
My all time best Grace time is 1:39 and it’s my favorite Girl WOD.
Deadlifts reign superior in movements because it requires brute strength and none of the finesse like a snatch, but snatches are my second favorite because it’s all the things I am not good at.
I did 2 Figure Competitions before I found CrossFit, and bodybuilding always holds a special place in my heart, but I do not like the monotony and strict, disordered eating it takes to make it in that sport.
I love the ocean and beach, and it saddens me everyday I am not even remotely close to one. Other bodies of water are fine, but aren’t the real thing. I’m very picky about water, even the kind I drink.
